SEC. 251. CONGRESSIONAL NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE POLICY ON AUTONOMY IN WEAPON SYSTEMS. Not later than 30 days after making a modification to Department of Defense Directive 3000.09 (relating to autonomy in weapon systems) the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the congressional defense committees a briefing that includes-- (1) a description of the modification; and (2) an explanation of the reasons for the modification.
